Dua Ahad — Covenant with the Hidden Imam

Allāhumma rabban-nūril-ʿaẓīm Wa rabbal-kursiyyir-rafīʿ Wa rabbal-baḥril-masjūr Wa munzilat-tawrāti wal-injīli waz-zabūr Wa rabbaz-ẓilli wal-ḥarūr Wa munzilal-qurʾānil-ʿaẓīm Wa rabbal-malāʾikatil-muqarrabīna wal-anbiyāʾi wal-mursalīn Allāhumma innī asʾaluka bi-wajhikal-karīm Wa bi-nūri wajhikal-munīr Wa mulkikal-qadīm Yā ḥayyu yā qayyūm Asʾaluka bismikal-ladhī ashraqat bihis-samāwātu wal-araḍūn Wa bismikal-ladhī yaṣluḥu bihil-awwalūna wal-ākhirūn Yā ḥayyan qabla kulli ḥayy Wa yā ḥayyan baʿda kulli ḥayy Wa yā ḥayyan ḥīna lā ḥayy Yā muḥyiyal-mawtā wa mumītal-aḥyāʾ Yā ḥayyu lā ilāha illā anta Allāhumma balligh mawlāya ṣāḥibal-zamān Ṣalawātullāhi ʿalayhi wa ʿalā ābāʾihiṭ-ṭāhirīn ʿAn jamīʿil-muʾminīna wal-muʾmināt Fī mashāriqil-arḍi wa maghāribihā Sahlihā wa jabalihā Wa barrihā wa baḥrihā Wa ʿannī minaṣ-ṣalāti was-salāmi ʿAdada mā aḥāṭa bihī ʿilmuka Wa aḥṣāhu kitābuka Allāhumma innī ujaddidu lahū fī hādhal-yawm Wa fī kulli yawm ʿAhdan wa ʿaqdan wa bayʿatan fī raqabatī Allāhumma kamā sharraftanī bihādhat-tashrīf Wa faḍḍaltanī bihādhihil-faḍīlah Wa khaṣaṣtanī bihādhihin-niʿmah Fa-ṣalli ʿalā mawlāya wa sayyidī ṣāḥibiz-zamān Wajʿalnī min anṣārihī wa aʿwānihī wadh-dhābbīna ʿanh Wajʿalnī minal-musāriʿīna ilayhi fī qaḍāʾi ḥawāʾijhī Wal-mumtathilīna li-awāmirih Wal-muḥāmīna ʿanh Was-sābiqīna ilā irādatih Wal-mustashhidīna bayna yadayh Allāhumma in ḥāla baynī wa baynahul-mawtul-ladhī jaʿaltahū ʿalā ʿibādika ḥatman maqdiyyā Fa-akhrijni min qabrī muʾtaziran kafanī Shāhiran sayfī mujridan qanātī Mulabbiyan daʿwatad-dāʿī fil-ḥāḍiri wal-bādī Allāhumma arinit-ṭalʿatar-rashīdata wal-ghurratall-ḥamīdah Wakḥul nāẓirī bi-naẓratin minnī ilayh Wa ʿajjil farajahū wa sahhil makhrajah Wajʿal lī minhu sabīlan wa makhlaṣā Wa anjiz lahū mā waʿadtah Wa ṣallillāhumma ʿalā Muḥammadin wa āli Muḥammad

O Allah, Lord of the Great Light, Lord of the Exalted Throne, Lord of the raging sea, You who sent down the Torah, the Gospel, and the Psalms, Lord of shadow and scorching heat, You who sent down the Great Quran, Lord of the angels brought near, and the Prophets, and the Messengers — O Allah, I ask You by Your noble Face, by the light of Your radiant Face, and by Your eternal sovereignty. O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining — I ask You by the Name by which the heavens and earth shone forth, and by the Name through which the first and the last are set aright. O Living before every living thing, O Living after every living thing, O Living when there is no other living thing — O Giver of life to the dead, O Cause of death for the living, O Ever-Living — there is no god but You. O Allah, convey to my master, the Master of the Age — may the blessings of Allah be upon him and his pure fathers — from all the believing men and women, in every east and west of the earth, its plains and its mountains, its land and its sea — and from me, blessings and peace in a number encompassed by Your knowledge and counted in Your Book. O Allah, I renew for him on this day, and every day, a covenant, a pledge, and an oath of allegiance — binding upon my neck. O Allah, as You have honored me with this honor, favored me with this distinction, and blessed me with this grace — then send blessings upon my master and my lord, the Master of the Age. Make me of his helpers, his supporters, and his defenders. Make me of those who hasten to fulfill his needs, who obey his commands, who guard him, who race to fulfill his will, and who are ready to die in his presence. O Allah, if death — which You have decreed as inevitable for Your servants — should stand between me and him, then raise me from my grave wrapped in my shroud, my sword drawn and my lance unsheathed, responding to the call of the Caller in every city and every land. O Allah, show me his blessed countenance and radiant face. Kohl my eyes with a single glance of him. Hasten his relief and ease his emergence. Make for me from him a path and a way of salvation. Fulfill for him what You have promised. And send blessings, O Allah, upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
