Dua on Completing Quran (Khatm)
Recited upon completing a full recitation of the Holy Quran, especially during Ramadan
اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي بِالْقُرْآنِ، وَاجْعَلْهُ لِي إِمَامًا وَنُورًا وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً، اللَّهُمَّ ذَكِّرْنِي مِنْهُ مَا نُسِّيتُ، وَعَلِّمْنِي مِنْهُ مَا جَهِلْتُ، وَارْزُقْنِي تِلَاوَتَهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَأَطْرَافَ النَّهَارِ، وَاجْعَلْهُ لِي حُجَّةً يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
Allāhummar-ḥamnī bil-Qurʾāni, wajʿalhu lī imāman wa nūran wa hudan wa raḥmah. Allāhumma dhakkirnī minhu mā nussītu, wa ʿallimnī minhu mā jahiltu, warzuqnī tilāwatahu ānāʾal-layli wa aṭrāfan-nahāri, wajʿalhu lī ḥujjatan yā Rabbal-ʿālamīn
O Allah, have mercy on me through the Quran. Make it for me a guide, a light, a direction and a mercy. O Allah, remind me of what I have forgotten of it, teach me of it what I have been ignorant of, grant me its recitation in the depths of the night and the ends of the day, and make it an argument for me, O Lord of the Worlds.
