Supplication
Istighfar — Seeking Forgiveness
Recited 100 times daily — the Prophet (SAW) sought forgiveness more than 70 times a day despite being protected from sin
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ (١٠٠ مرة يومياً) أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Astaghfirullāha wa atūbu ilayh (100 times daily) Astaghfirullāha al-ʿAẓīma alladhī lā ilāha illā huwa al-Ḥayyu al-Qayyūmu wa atūbu ilayh
I seek forgiveness from Allah and I repent to Him (100 times daily). I seek forgiveness from Allah, the Magnificent, He other than Whom there is no deity, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining, and I repent to Him. The Prophet (SAW) said: 'Whoever says Astaghfirullah al-Azeem... Allah will forgive him, even if he has fled from the battlefield.' (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi)
