Ziyarat Jami'a Kabira — The Comprehensive Salutation to the Imams
The most comprehensive and authoritative salutation (ziyarat) addressed to all the Imams. Transmitted by Imam Ali al-Naqi al-Hadi (AS) when asked by the companions for a single ziyarat that could be offered for any Imam at any shrine or from any distance. Recited when visiting any mazaar (shrine) of the Ahl al-Bayt, or from home while facing the qibla. A cornerstone of Bohra devotional practice.
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَهْلَ بَيْتِ النُّبُوَّةِ وَمَوْضِعَ الرِّسَالَةِ وَمُخْتَلَفَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ وَمَهْبِطَ الْوَحْيِ وَمَعْدِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَخُزَّانَ الْعِلْمِ وَمُنْتَهَى الْحِلْمِ وَأُصُولَ الْكَرَمِ وَقَادَةَ الأُمَمِ وَأَوْلِيَاءَ النِّعَمِ وَعَنَاصِرَ الأَبْرَارِ وَدَعَائِمَ الأَخْيَارِ وَسَاسَةَ الْعِبَادِ وَأَرْكَانَ الْبِلاَدِ وَأَبْوَابَ الإِيمَانِ وَأُمَنَاءَ الرَّحْمَنِ وَسُلاَلَةَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَصَفْوَةَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَعِتْرَةَ خِيَرَةِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَى أَئِمَّةِ الْهُدَى وَمَصَابِيحِ الدُّجَى وَأَعْلاَمِ التُّقَى وَذَوِي النُّهَى وَأُولِي الْحِجَى وَكَهْفِ الْوَرَى وَوَرَثَةِ الأَنْبِيَاءِ وَالْمَثَلِ الأَعْلَى وَالدَّعْوَةِ الْحُسْنَى وَحُجَجِ اللَّهِ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَالأُولَى وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ كَمَا شَهِدَ اللَّهُ لِنَفْسِهِ وَشَهِدَتْ لَهُ مَلاَئِكَتُهُ وَأُولُوا الْعِلْمِ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ الْمُنْتَجَبُ وَرَسُولُهُ الْمُرْتَضَى أَرْسَلَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكُمُ الأَئِمَّةُ الرَّاشِدُونَ الْمَهْدِيُّونَ الْمَعْصُومُونَ الْمُكَرَّمُونَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ الْمُتَّقُونَ الصَّادِقُونَ الْمُصْطَفَوْنَ الْمُطِيعُونَ لِلَّهِ الْقَوَّامُونَ بِأَمْرِهِ الْعَامِلُونَ بِإِرَادَتِهِ الْفَائِزُونَ بِكَرَامَتِهِ أَصْطَفَاكُمْ بِعِلْمِهِ وَارْتَضَاكُمْ لِغَيْبِهِ وَاخْتَارَكُمْ لِسِرِّهِ وَاجْتَبَاكُمْ بِقُدْرَتِهِ وَأَعَزَّكُمْ بِهُدَاهُ وَخَصَّكُمْ بِبُرْهَانِهِ وَانْتَجَبَكُمْ لِنُورِهِ وَأَيَّدَكُمْ بِرُوحِهِ وَرَضِيَكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ فِي أَرْضِهِ وَحُجَجًا عَلَى بَرِيَّتِهِ وَأَنْصَارًا لِدِينِهِ وَحَفَظَةً لِسِرِّهِ وَخَزَنَةً لِعِلْمِهِ وَمُسْتَوْدَعًا لِحِكْمَتِهِ وَتَرَاجِمَةً لِوَحْيِهِ وَأَرْكَانًا لِتَوْحِيدِهِ وَشُهَدَاءَ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ وَأَعْلاَمًا لِعِبَادِهِ وَمَنَارًا فِي بِلاَدِهِ وَأَدِلاَّءَ عَلَى صِرَاطِهِ عَصَمَكُمُ اللَّهُ مِنَ الزَّلَلِ وَآمَنَكُمْ مِنَ الْفِتَنِ وَطَهَّرَكُمْ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ وَأَذْهَبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ وَطَهَّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا فَعَظَّمْتُمْ جَلاَلَهُ وَأَكْبَرْتُمْ شَأْنَهُ وَمَجَّدْتُمْ كَرَمَهُ وَأَدَمْتُمْ ذِكْرَهُ وَوَكَّدْتُمْ مِيثَاقَهُ وَأَحْكَمْتُمْ عَقْدَ طَاعَتِهِ وَنَصَحْتُمْ لَهُ فِي السِّرِّ وَالْعَلاَنِيَةِ وَدَعَوْتُمْ إِلَى سَبِيلِهِ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَبَذَلْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ فِي مَرْضَاتِهِ وَصَبَرْتُمْ عَلَى مَا أَصَابَكُمْ فِي جَنْبِهِ وَأَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتَيْتُمُ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَمَرْتُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَيْتُمْ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَجَاهَدْتُمْ فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ مَنْ وَالاَكُمْ فَقَدْ وَالَى اللَّهَ وَمَنْ عَادَاكُمْ فَقَدْ عَادَى اللَّهَ وَمَنْ أَحَبَّكُمْ فَقَدْ أَحَبَّ اللَّهَ وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَكُمْ فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَ اللَّهَ وَمَنِ اعْتَصَمَ بِكُمْ فَقَدِ اعْتَصَمَ بِاللَّهِ أُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ وَأُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي مُؤْمِنٌ بِكُمْ وَبِمَا آمَنْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرٌ بِعَدُوِّكُمْ وَبِمَا كَفَرْتُمْ بِهِ مُسْتَبْصِرٌ بِشَأْنِكُمْ وَبِضَلاَلَةِ مَنْ خَالَفَكُمْ مُوَالٍ لَكُمْ وَلأَوْلِيَائِكُمْ مُبْغِضٌ لأَعْدَائِكُمْ وَمُعَادٍ لَهُمْ سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ مُحَقِّقٌ لِمَا حَقَّقْتُمْ وَمُبْطِلٌ لِمَا أَبْطَلْتُمْ فَبِحَقِّكُمْ وَبِالشَّأْنِ الَّذِي لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَأَنْ يُثَبِّتَ لِي عِنْدَكُمْ قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ وَأَسْأَلُهُ أَنْ يُبَلِّغَنِي الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُودَ لَكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَأَنْ يَرْزُقَنِي طَلَبَ ثَأْرِكُمْ مَعَ إِمَامٍ مَنْصُورٍ mِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا حُجَجَ اللَّهِ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ وَأُمَنَاءَهُ عَلَى وَحْيِهِ وَعَزَائِمِ أَمْرِهِ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ يَا أَهْلَ النِّعْمَةِ الَّتِي لاَ تُحْصَى وَالرَّحْمَةِ الَّتِي لاَ تُسْتَقْصَى وَالْحِكْمَةِ الَّتِي لاَ تُجَارَى وَالنُّورِ الَّذِي لاَ يُطْفَأُ
As-salāmu ʿalaykum yā ahla baytin-nubuwwah Wa mawḍiʿar-risālah Wa mukhtalafal-malāʾikah Wa mahbiṭal-waḥy Wa maʿdinir-raḥmah Wa khuzzānal-ʿilm Wa muntahāl-ḥilm Wa uṣūlal-karam Wa qādatal-umam...
Peace be upon you, O People of the House of Prophethood, the Station of the Message, the meeting-place of the angels, the descent-place of revelation, the wellspring of mercy, the treasurers of knowledge, the summit of forbearance, the roots of generosity, the leaders of nations, the guardians of blessings, the elements of the righteous, the pillars of the virtuous, the governors of the servants, the foundations of the lands, the gates of faith, the trustees of the Most Merciful, the offspring of the prophets, the chosen of the messengers, the family of the chosen one of the Lord of the worlds. And the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you. Peace be upon the Imams of guidance, the lamps in the darkness, the waymarks of piety, the possessors of wisdom, the people of discernment, the refuge of humanity, the inheritors of the prophets, the highest of examples, the most beautiful of callings, the proofs of Allah over the people of this world, the next, and the first — and the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner — as Allah Himself has borne witness, and His angels and those of His creation endowed with knowledge: there is no god but He, the Mighty, the Wise. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His chosen servant and His approved messenger, whom He sent with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail over all religion, however the polytheists may dislike it. And I bear witness that you are the rightly-guiding Imams, the rightly-guided ones — protected from error, honored, brought near, pious, truthful, chosen, obedient to Allah, upholding His command, working by His will, successful in attaining His nobility. He selected you through His knowledge and chose you for His unseen, elected you for His secret, appointed you by His power, exalted you through His guidance, specified you with His proof, chose you for His light, and strengthened you with His spirit. He was pleased with you as His deputies on His earth, as proofs over His creation, as helpers for His religion, keepers of His secret, treasurers of His knowledge, depositaries of His wisdom, translators of His revelation, pillars of His oneness, witnesses over His creation, beacons for His servants, lighthouses in His lands, guides upon His path. Allah has protected you from slipping, guarded you from trials, purified you of impurity, removed from you all filth and purified you thoroughly. So you magnified His majesty, exalted His greatness, glorified His generosity, perpetually remembered Him, strengthened His covenant, firmly secured the bond of obedience to Him, counseled sincerely for Him in private and in public, invited to His path with wisdom and beautiful counsel, gave yourselves in seeking His good pleasure, patiently endured whatever struck you for His sake, established the prayer and gave the zakah, commanded right and forbade wrong, and strove in Allah's cause with a true striving. Whoever holds your friendship has held the friendship of Allah. Whoever is your enemy is the enemy of Allah. Whoever loves you has loved Allah. Whoever hates you has hated Allah. Whoever clings to you has clung to Allah. I call Allah and I call you to witness: I am a believer in you and in what you believe in, a rejector of your enemies and what they reject, clear-sighted about your station and the error of those who opposed you, a supporter of you and your allies, an opponent of your enemies and hostile to them, at peace with whoever is at peace with you, in conflict with whoever fights you, affirming what you have affirmed and refuting what you have refuted. So by your right, and by the standing you have before Allah, I ask Allah to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, to make me with you in this world and the next, to establish for me with you a foothold of sincerity in this world and the next, and I ask Him to bring me to the praiseworthy station that is yours before Allah, and to grant me the seeking of vindication with a supported Imam from the family of Muhammad, may Allah's blessings be upon him and his family. Peace be upon you, O proofs of Allah over His creation, His trustees over His revelation and the firm decrees of His command. Peace be upon you, O People of the blessing that cannot be counted, the mercy that cannot be fully measured, the wisdom that cannot be rivaled, and the light that cannot be extinguished.
